Girls Lacrosse takes multiple wins at beginning of season
Girls lacrosse’s first game was against Howell North, Wed. March 23. JV dominated with a win 16-0. Varsity played right after and won 19-9. Sophomore Haley Brinkman was named JV’s player of the game with five goals, and junior Riley Hoff was named varsity’s player of the game because of her quick shots on the goal.
Just a few days later, girls lacrosse had its second game, Sat. March 26. Again, both teams dominated. JV won 18-0, while varsity won 15-0. During the game, junior Jasmine Brink stepped up and played midfield because one of her teammates was hurt, earning her varsity player of the game. With five goals, freshman Rhianne Toebenn was named JV’s player of the game.
C-team girls lacrosse’s first game was against Howell Central, Thursday, March 30. It was the first time many of the girls played. C-team put up a fight but fell short 3-4.
