DAG raises over 300 dollars in funds for Afghani Refugees
The Diversity Awareness Group (DAG) hosted a competitive fundraising event from Feb. 28- March 11. DAG Sought to help Afghani refugees through the International Institute in St. Louis, which provided funds and supplies to acclimate them to their new homes. The competition took place between second-hour classes. The winner was science teacher Sara Schmidt’s second hour, with a total earning of $124.93. They earned a free doughnut breakfast. History teacher Carl Wayne’s second-hour class earned a total earning of $107.09. The total amount raised added up to $302.05.
