Girls Tennis Takes on State Doubles and Lafayette
The girls tennis team advanced to the district championship to face Lafayette for their final meet Oct. 5. The Vikings lost 5-4.
“It made me incredibly happy to see all of their hard work pay off because they always leave it all on the court,” sophomore Tanvi Bollepalli said.
“Although I could only play in the GAC tournament since I hurt my leg before districts, it was still great to watch them all play and get that far,” senior Cassie Lanham said. “I started sophomore year and played three years with many of the girls who went and have watched everyone improve so much,” Lanham said.
In addition, junior Josie Maddox and senior Eleanor Panke competed in the doubles state championship Oct. 14. The pair finished the tournament with a 1-2 record.
