Monday, Sept. 27 kicked off the annual Homecoming Spirit Week with PJ Day; Class Color Day, Decade Day, Tropical Day, and Blue and Gold Day followed.

“My favorite spirit day is Blue and Gold Day because it gets everybody hyped up before the football game. The week itself is so much fun because everyone is excited for homecoming,” senior Mackenzie Everly said.

Administration tried something new in having teachers hand out tickets to students for participating. If students and staff dressed up for spirit day, they will receive a ticket from first hour teachers teachers and principals. Winners received a prize from the main office such as candy or a can of soda.

“I like the ticket system because it gets people more excited and involved,” senior Maya Pal said. “Everyone is more willing to participate if there’s a prize.”
