Cross Country Takes on New Course
Cross Country went to Forest Park Sept. 11 for the annual Cross Country Festival. The meet attracted some of the top programs across the Midwest and over 1,000 runners competed in multiple high school divisions.
Sponsors redid the course to make it faster.
“The course was so much better than the last time we ran here. There used to be so many huge hills, now there are just a lot of twists and turns,” junior Lucy Grier said.
Boys varsity placed 15th out of 20. JV boys placed eighth out of 17. Girls varsity placed 13th out of 22, and girls JV placed sixth out of 14.
