Varsity football advances to state quarterfinals
After a 56-21 win against Timberland, varsity football advanced to the district semifinals. The Vikings were expected to play in their next game against Holt Nov 6, but the game was cancelled due to Covid concerns within the Holt team. Because of the forfeit, the Vikings will advance to the State Quarterfinals. They will play against the winner of the game between CBC and DeSmet.
“I’m looking forward to making a run for the state championship between the best teams in the state,” junior Max Wilson said. “Our discipline and conditioning combined will be our main asset against tougher opponents in the future.”
The Vikings are ranked fifth in the state and second in the district as of Nov 6.
