Coach Jason Skidmore celebrates 100th win as C-Team football coach
C-team football played Timberland Oct. 19, and their 42-7 win marked the 100th win with Coach Jason Skidmore. Skidmore has been a coach at Howell since 2008, and he has been the head freshman coach since he took the position. After accomplishing a hundred wins, many people found creative ways to congratulate Skidmore.
“Coach Carl Wayne, with the help of my family, compiled a video that left me speechless,” Skidmore said. “In the aftermath of that video being published, I received hundreds of messages from former players, former students, parents of current and former players, coaching colleagues, and others congratulating me and saying a lot of nice things.”
After this milestone, Coach Skidmore’s coaching career is not over.
“I would like to continue coaching at least until my youngest son is done playing at Francis Howell,” Skidmore said. “No matter what, I will be a Viking for the rest of my life.”
