Free lunches and breakfast for FHSD Community
FHSD has made it a goal to provide healthy meals for their community’s families. FHSD is now giving free lunch and breakfast to all students under the age of 18. The Families First Coronavirus Response Act allowed the USDA to approve feeding the students in the community, no charge, until Dec. 30.
“I am happy to see how this program removes obstacles and makes the process of obtaining well cooked meals easier for students during the pandemic,” Principal David Wedlock said.
In person students will not be charged for breakfast and lunch meals, however extra snack items, such as bagged chips, cookies, and soda, will still be charged at the normal approved prices.
Online students are provided meals, through meal box kits, that can be picked up every Tuesday between 10:00 – 11:30 am at the Burbes Service Center.
