“Magic in the Hamptons” Single Review

Pennsylvania natives Michael “Mikey” Foster and Charles “Scootie” Anderson came together to form the rhythmic pop-ish duo Social House, and made their very first debut with their 2018 single “Magic in the Hamptons” featuring Lil Yachty. The duo has actually written and produced songs for Ariana Grande, Chris Brown, and Jennifer Lopez among other artists, so they are very credited in the music community.

Their single “Magic in the Hamptons” is about meeting a girl and having a good time together in the Hamptons. The Hamptons is in Long Island, NY, and is known as a summer destination for New York City residents. The sound of the song matches the feel of the destination. It’s gives off a summery, in the sun kind of vibe with a touch of hip-hop, and this matches perfectly with its puppy love theme.

Its lyrics have a catchy and laid back hook. Mikey sings, “You know where I go when we’re dancin’ / Handshakes in the Hamptons,” in the chorus. The duo sounds very easygoing and Lil Yachty works ideally with them. He sounds like he could be part of the group himself.

If you want summer to come around early, just relax and listen to “Magic in the Hamptons”.
