At the annual Mr. Viking competition, senior Ganon Evans (aka Mr. Scholar Bowl) took home the gold as the overall winner.

“I’m not usually a huge performer, so I tried to pick a talent that would be easy for anyone to do,” Evans said.

Evans danced to “It’s Not Unusual” by Tom Jones and “Maniac” by Michael Sembello.

“Because I hosted Mr. Viking last year, I had an idea of what the audience would like,” Evans said. “It is almost better to be funny, rather than good for your talent portion.”  

Other winners include Chuck Howard, who placed third, and Michael Collins, who placed second and won the award of Mr. Congeniality.
