Sophomores in all English I classes left their 2 and 3 hour classes Dec. 7 to hear a Holocaust survivor tell her story.

The guest speaker that came was Rachel Miller, a woman born in Paris, France. Miller spoke about her experiences as she stayed in hiding to avoid getting put in a concentration camp.

“I thought it was cool how she shared her entire life experience with us, and how she continues to do the same with many others. Her story was both powerful and captivating, and it was a privilege to be able to hear it.” Sophomore Nino Viviano said.

Students in those English classes had read Night, an autobiography following the survival story of Elie Wiesel, a survivor of the Auschwitz concentration camp.
