While hosting the varsity volleyball jamboree Aug. 15, the lady vikings played against Ladue, St. Dominic and Kirkwood. They ended the night by beating Ladue and Kirkwood in both sets and tying with St. Dominic.

“We played well considering it was our first time playing as a team,” senior Makenzie Thoman said.

The team used the jamboree as a way to find their strengths and weaknesses.

The team also had support from the Howell Superfans that watched the jamboree.

“We loved having the superfans because it helped us get used to the atmosphere of a real game throughout the season, and they kept us motivated throughout the night,” Thoman said.
