Softball Jamboree

August 12, senior Regan Gremaud (1) hits a single at the softball jamboree against Lindbergh. They won this game against Lindbergh 10-1. The second game they played they lost 2-0.

Girls varsity softball kicked off their season by hosting the jamboree at home against three different schools, Aug 12. Howell swept the first game with a 15-1 win over Lindbergh High School.

“We knew what we had to do. We used communication and teamwork to get that win,” senior Regan Gremaud said.

Hoping to retrieve another win, varsity softball fell short losing 2-0 against Union High School.

“Union’s pitcher was a machine,” junior Olivia Hetzel said. “She threw really hard and we just couldn’t catch up to the ball.”

The final game against Incarnate Word Academy was cancelled due to inclement weather. Varsity softball’s next appearance will be in the Parkway tournament Mon. Aug 22.
