Currently under construction in the Delmar area of Saint Louis, a trolley system will open Spring of 2017. It’s 2.2 mile route will link University City and Forest Park, looping back around at the Missouri Museum. Traditionally given the nickname “The Loop” for its past Trolley system, the updated edition will revive the city of its former glory. The form of transportation, besides its original purpose, will attract tourists to the area even more. It will promote connectivity, economic development, and an environment friendly system. The Trolley will also allow a pedestrian-friendly atmosphere, recovering the area from its recent reputation of crime. The $51 million dollar project will bring an overall pleasant response.
