Upcoming events signal end of semester

Prom is right around the corner. Tickets are on sale now, through the end of the week, Friday, April 15, for $60 each in C102. Along with a ticket, students receive a candle, representative of the ‘Night in Paris’ theme. Prom is April 22 at the St. Charles Convention Center. Doors open at 6:30, so bring those dancing shoes.

Beginning Thursday, April 14, the Limelight theater will perform their spring musical “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.” The show, the story of a group of avid spellers competing for the top prize, will run through Saturday, April 16. The curtain opens at 7 each night, in the auditorium. Tickets are $10.

Students with a 3.5 GPA or higher are eligible for two free Cardinals tickets. Ticket vouchers can be picked up before school in the Main Office or after school in the Attendance Office. In addition, an announcement of this academic achievement will appear in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, April 14.

This Friday, April 15, select seniors will attend the 4.0 luncheon at Old Hickory Golf Club. Those invited have maintained a 4.0 GPA or higher throughout their four years at Howell.

Juniors will take the ACT, April 19. Because of this test, next week, April 18-22, will have a regular bell schedule. Block scheduling will continue the following week, April 25-29.
