Oblivion by Kelly Creagh Review

In Kelly Creagh’s final installment of the Nevermore trilogy, Oblivion, we enter back into the dark world of Edgar Allen Poe’s imagination where our heroes Varen and Isobel have endured the very worst. With both the previous novels ending with tragedy, our hopes are high for finally a happy ending, and Creagh delivers a hailstorm of emotions as the story unfolds.

After Isobel Lanley woke back up in reality, she realized she was cut off from the dreamworld, and more importantly, from her love, Varen Nethers. The start of the novel is cast in shades of gray as we follow Isobel while she tries to recover, both physically and emotionally from Varen’s betrayal. However, it isn’t too long before the pace quickens and Isobel stumbles back into the dreamworld determined to find Varen yet again and finally break his bond with the demon, Lillith.

Creagh creates a story that Edgar Allen Poe himself would approve of. Fans of the Nevermore series will not be disappointed with this conclusion, and with a surprise appearance by the infamous poet himself, all strings are neatly tied up and every questioned answered. It is safe to say that Oblivion is a must-read.
