MTE is a sneaker thats designed for winter and it’s elements.  The Vans Sk8-Hi comes with a 3M Scotchgard treated upper with fleece and wool inner linings also, a heat retention layer that really helps out for the days when it’s hot outside. This retention layer is in between the sockliner and outsole to keep your feet warm and dry. The MTE features a “newly-constructed lug outsole.” This package comes for a modest $80.00.

Owning a pair of MTE Sk8-Hi has really changed my opinion on vans. I get a lot of compliments on them and the best part is that I’m currently the only one with them at Howell. The shoe is very comfortable, but they run big.  I recommend going down a half size if you wear thin socks. The shoe is snug around the arch of your foot. It’s a very wearable shoe that matches with fall and winter clothes. I would rate them a 9/10 because the flat sole has no support.
